Create a photo gallery with FLAG Gallery

A photo gallery is very often a value on a site, but it often requires a little knowledge of it to insert a flash gallery with slideshow.

Above all, in order to create your gallery, you must have:

1. Downloaded this plugin ,
2. Installed this plugin
3. Set translation files

Once done FlAGallery adds a new menu in your WordPress dashboard, this menu is folding (as all the others) and contains:

• Details
• Managing galleries
• Interfaces and
• Options

To create a new image gallery so click on Manage Galleries and having to screen the same as the screenshot below:

1. In the New Gallery field, enter a name for your gallery and then click Add Gallery.
2. The following message appears: Gallery 'Name of your photo gallery' created successfully.
   You can view this gallery with the tag [flagallery gid = 1 name = "Name of your photo gallery"].

3. Click on Send pictures, then click Browse to select images from your gallery.
   Note that it is possible to select the images one by one or by batch, the other part to emphasize the speed of display in the gallery are advised to resize the images in advance with a maximum size of 800 pixels wide by 600 high.
   For this, I advise you free software The Gimp that will make it very well
4. Once your images are added to your gallery and thumbnails generated automatically by the plugin you should have an interface similar to the screenshot below:

5. Fill in Title and Description for the gallery and images in this gallery, then click Save Changes.
   Note: Fields title and description (ALT and TITLE) will improve the SEO of your images in search engines, it is worthwhile to dwell a bit on this point.
6. This is your gallery of images is created and is ready to be inserted in your publications, whether in your pages or in your articles.
7. To insert a gallery two methods are possible, as simple as one another,
   • When you have your gallery as soon as you have you a confirmation message indicating that the operation was successful but also a line of code to paste into your article that appears in this gallery. In our example line of code was: [flagallery gid = 1 name = "Name of your photo gallery"]. You just have to go to the Editorial section of your publication and paste to this line of code to the desired location.
   • You can also insert your gallery in your publications without copy / paste this line of code. A new button is added to your editorial interface for installing the plugin, it is easy to recognize is the far right of the first row of icons.
     By clicking on this icon will appear as a new fanêtre the screenshot below and you can select to insert the gallery.
     
     This gallery will open with the default settings of plugin or those that have been entered, but you can set a custom size by checking the box provided for that purpose.
